Homestay in Salamanca: the best way to get to know Spanish life

Staying with a Spanish family is a good complement to the course, as it will help you make the most of your stay here, give you the opportunity to experience the authentic Spanish lifestyle, give you a great insight into the culture and help you master Spanish more easily.

We have known many of the families for years and can assure you that they all have extensive experience providing accommodation to international students.

They have been selected for their authenticity and for the personal attention they can give to our students. The families can host Spanish students during the school term (October to June), as well as several international students like you.

We make sure that the number of students (maximum 4 students per family) is appropriate for the type of accommodation and that there is a mix of different nationalities. This ensures that all communication is in Spanish, which is of course the official language within the family.

  • The host families have extensive experience with international students and have been working with us for many years.
  • You will have a key from the first day
  • You will be able to receive phone calls
  • Choice of shared or single room
  • Laundry is included

Students must take into account that the customs and, above all, the food are different from those at home. They must also respect the rules of the house in terms of timetables, uses and behaviour with the members of the family, with other students who may be staying there and with the rest of the neighbours in the building.

During the academic year, the residences are occupied mainly by Spanish students, but in the summer months (July, August and September) they are used almost exclusively by international students. They are spacious rooms with shared bathrooms and common areas equipped with television and video and sound systems. Laundry service is also available.
